Job Scope
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and yearly account closings with high-quality financial reporting.
• Handle statutory and ad-hoc reporting to management and regional offices.
• Maintain accurate accounts in compliance with accounting standards, regional guidelines, and company policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal auditors.
• Manage annual stock stake exercises, inventory costing, and proper inventory maintenance.
• Maintain records of fixed assets and rental assets.
• Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Review accounting systems, procedures, and policies, suggesting enhancements.
• Assist in implementing internal control systems and ensure Sarbanes Oxley Act compliance.
• Coordinate with tax agents for tax submissions, including Regional's CbCR and Transfer Pricing Reporting.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities on corporate tax and indirect tax matters.
• Analyze and review company performance against budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the planning team.
• Lead the Planning & Budgeting Department in budgeting, forecasting, and mid-term planning processes.
• Provide management with decision-making information.
• Support HOD with special and ad-hoc assignments as needed.
Job Requirements:
• Professional qualification in Accountancy recognised by MIA, eg. ACCA/MICPA/ICAEW.
• At least 10 years practical experience preferably in MNC and 4-5 years' experience in Audit Firm.
• Strong knowledge of Accounting and Financial Reporting Standard i.e. MFRS.
• Experience in dealing with auditors, tax agents and other regulatory authority.
• Experience in budgeting, financial forecast and projection.
• Good in IT and computerised accounting system.
• Good leadership, management, problem-solving, analytical & interpersonal skills;
• Motivated and ambitious.
